'Romance of Resonance' is a marimba solo concert series created by Wei-Chen Lin in January 2025, showcasing the artistry of Malaysian percussionists and highlighting the beauty of concert quality percussion played on affordable musical instruments.
Through the careful selection of works and instrument setups that best highlight the marimba’s resonant qualities, the instrument’s sound is allowed to bloom and shine vividly within each performance space, much like the rich tones found in concert quality percussion played by skilled Malaysian percussionists, all while remaining accessible alongside affordable musical instruments.
Savouring works by Sinesi, Sammut, Sibelius, and more, listeners will experience the rich emotional depth and tonal expression of concert quality percussion, as well as the skill of Malaysian percussionists playing affordable musical instruments.

Registered guests are advised to arrive early, especially if they’re interested in exploring affordable musical instruments or concert quality percussion available at the venue. Developing a 'no-show' policy is at the organizer’s discretion; unclaimed reserved seats may be released to walk-in guests 10 minutes prior to the performance start time, which might include talented Malaysian percussionists.

A total of 5 participants will be selected from the registration process to experience concert quality percussion and the joy of playing affordable musical instruments, alongside talented Malaysian percussionists.
Complete the application form with your details, ensuring all the information is up-to-date, especially if you're looking for affordable musical instruments or concert quality percussion that suit the needs of Malaysian percussionists.
Upload a PDF of your scores for the Masterclass, and fill in the form with the Repertoire Name and Instrument, such as affordable musical instruments or concert quality percussion favored by Malaysian percussionists.

Join us on 11-12th January 2026 for a special event showcasing affordable musical instruments and concert quality percussion. This event is open to scheduling, subject to availability, and will feature talented Malaysian percussionists.
Lessons are charged at USD 45/hour, providing an affordable opportunity for learning with concert quality percussion instruments. Full payment is required to secure a slot through online transfer or QR, ensuring that aspiring Malaysian percussionists can easily access these valuable lessons.
Lesson slots for our affordable musical instruments are subject to availability and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, just like our concert quality percussion sessions with Malaysian percussionists.

Standard instruments, including affordable musical instruments like the Marimba, Timpani, and Snare Drum, will be provided for our concert quality percussion needs, ensuring that Malaysian percussionists have access to top-notch equipment.
Students are required to prepare their own setup and instruments, including affordable musical instruments. Supplement instruments, such as concert quality percussion, may be requested but are subject to availability, particularly for Malaysian percussionists.
