Spacious music store featuring percussion instruments and mallets on display.

About Us

Our History

Established in 2020, Percussion Store began its operation coincidentally when the country closed its doors to live music. During the height of the MCO, we faced trials that challenged our stability, but we remained optimistic with our VMC Series of online concerts held in our old store at Jalan Panggong.

After weathering the storm and relocating to our current location in Kota Damansara, we have thrived not only as a retail and rental outlet for custom mallets and instruments but also as a vibrant music platform for local musicians. Our evolution from VMC to the PS Hall has opened new opportunities for those who share our passion for Malaysian percussion.

Our Vision and Mission

We continue to serve the needs of percussionists alike, from students to professionals: schools to community ensembles; classical to contemporary.

Chia Cheng Kok - Founder and Director

Cheng Kok has dedicated years to developing his custom mallets brand, 'CK Mallets', which has now evolved into a comprehensive percussion store. He currently leads his team in operations across Klang Valley while innovating the in-house PS Timpani Mallets.

Since 2005, he has served as the Percussion/Timpani Principal of the National Symphony Orchestra. His involvement in the Malaysian percussion scene includes participation in various projects such as the Malaysian Percussion Festival (2017), Awakening (2022), Gendang Sedunia (2024), and the Festival of Drums and Percussion (2024), contributing to a vibrant music platform.

He has also achieved significant recognition, most notably as the 2024 Champion of the Thailand World Music Competition with Voice of Percussion, a prominent music platform that showcases talent.
